Your typing data stays local

Your typing input and performance data are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. We do not receive the text you type, the target passages you complete, your individual keystrokes, your mistyped words, or any name you enter for a certificate.

Local storage

If you choose to save progress, your results are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. You can export, import, or delete this data at any time from the progress page. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

We use a privacy-conscious analytics setup that records anonymous, aggregate usage events (such as which test was started or completed and coarse WPM ranges). We never send the text you type or personally identifying information to analytics.

Advertising

Ads are currently disabled on this deployment. If enabled via Google AdSense, third-party cookies may be used for ad personalization; see our cookie policy.
